Minutes of the Parish Council Meeting held on Tuesday 1st March 2022 at St. Peter’s Church, Louth Road, South Somercotes

Item 0322/17 Chairman’s Welcome
The Chairman opened the meeting at 6.29pm and welcomed everyone to the monthly meeting.
Item 0322/18 Public Forum
No Members of the Public were in Attendance and no Matters Raised under this Item.
Item 0322/19 Apologies & Acceptance for Absence
Apologies were received & accepted from Cllr Mrs Tracey Poulter and District Cllr Mr Paul Rickett.
Item 0322/20 Police Matters
No members of the Neighbourhood Policing Team were in attendance and no update had been received. No matters were raised. It was mentioned that PC Richard Precious is no longer looking after this area and has moved onto a Traffic Officier? but no update has been received from the Neighbourhood Policing Team.
Item 0322/21 District & County Councillor Updates
District & County Cllr Mr McNally reported: Increases to Council Tax by 5%, 3% rise for Adult Social Care. Government £12m shortfall for Highways. ELDC Pride & Place Team, new set-up, extra people to hit areas within the district for weeding, litter-picking etc. Paper/Card Recycling will be implemented around September 2022 which will be collected monthly, and Glass will be able to be put into the normal recycling bin.
District & County Cllr Mr McNally then left the meeting at 6:35pm.
Item 0322/22 Declarations of Pecuniary Interest in accordance with LGA 2011
None.
Item 0322/23 To Resolve as Minutes the record of the meeting held on 1st February 2022
It was proposed by Cllr Mrs Benton, seconded by Cllr Mrs Jackson and resolved that the Minutes of the meeting held on the 1st of February 2022 were a true record. The Chairman duly signed & dated the Minutes.
Item 0322/24 Chairman’s Report
The Chairman had no specific report to make under this item.
Item 0322/25 Clerks Report
BT Kiosk – The Clerk gave an update, awaiting works to be completed around 16.03.2022.
ELDC District Councillor Fund – £500 has been allocated towards the cost of the defibrillator.
Notice-Board – The Clerk reported that one of the doors was not closed properly and was still sticking. The Chairman will have a further look and sand down the doors.
Item 0322/26 Parish Councillor Reports
Cllr Mrs Jackson reported that LMDB had been very helpful when contacted regarding the tree that is causing a concern as reported last month.
The Vice-Chair, Cllr Mrs Day handed in £25.00 which has been raised from the Bookstall within St. Peters Church.

Item 0322/28 Planning Matters: ELDC Refusal of Planning Permission Received:
None.
Item 0322/29 Highway/Lighting/Footpath Matters
Part of the hedge alongside the property known at The Anchor, bends from Billingsgate onto Louth Road has not yet been trimmed back from the public footpath. The Chairman will speak with the owner.
Item 0322/30 Jubilee Field & St. Peters Churchyard
It has been requested if the grass-cutting could commence a.s.a.p.
Queens Platinum Jubilee Celebrations – Meeting to be held on Monday 14th March 2022 at North Holme, courtesy of Cllr Jackson at 6:30pm to discuss and plan the celebrations.
Item 0322/31 Reports from Outside Bodies
An entry into the North & South Somercotes Communication magazine will be submitted to inform of events being held and meetings planned.
Item 0322/32 Next Meeting – Tuesday 5th April 2022
The next monthly Parish Council Meeting will be held on Tuesday 5th April 2022, commencing at 6:30pm with the Public Forum.
With there being no further business, the Chairman closed the meeting at 6:53pm.
