Minutes of the Parish Council Meeting held on Monday 7th November 2022 at St. Peter’s Church, Louth Road, South Somercotes

Item 1122/134   Chairman’s Welcome 

The Chairman opened the meeting at 6.25pm and welcomed everyone to the monthly meeting. 

Item 1122/135 Public Forum

No Members of the Public were in Attendance and no Matters Raised under this Item.

Item 1122/136 Apologies & Acceptance for Absence

None.

Item 1122/137 Police Matters   

No representative from the Local Neighbourhood Policing Team were in attendance. No update to report to the Parish Council was received for this meeting.

Item 1122/138 District & County Councillor Updates

County & District Cllr Mr McNally along with District Cllr Mr Paul Rickett had informed the Clerk that they had a meeting prior to the Parish Council meeting and were hoping to attend if the Parish Council meeting was still proceeding when they had finished.

Item 1122/139 Declarations of Pecuniary Interest in accordance with LGA 2011

None.

Item 1122/140 To Resolve as Minutes the record of the meeting held on the 3rd October 2022

It was proposed by the Vice-Chair Cllr Mrs Day, seconded by Cllr Mrs Poulter and resolved that the Minutes of the meeting held on the 3rd October 2022 were a true record. The Chairman duly signed & dated the Minutes.

Item 1122/141 Chairman’s Report

The Chairman had no specific matters to report.

Item 1122/142 Clerks Report

BT Kiosk – Awaiting connection from Northern PowerGrid.

Item 1122/143 Parish Councillor Reports

Cllr Mrs Jackson had been asked about the Heaters that were used in St. Peters and where they were now located. It was thought that Mr Morton had collected the heaters.

Item 1122/144 Financial Matters 

No Financial Matters.

Item 1122/145 Planning Matters

ELDC Full Planning Permission Granted: 
Ref: N/162/00790/22           Applicant: Miss. A. Dennis
Proposal: Planning Permission – Erection of a dwelling on a site of a building which has been demolished (works commenced)
Location: Church Farm, Louth Road, South Somercotes, Nr. Louth, Lincolnshire, LN11 7BW

The Parish Council noted the Full Planning Permission granted and were pleased that the proposals had been fully approved.

It was asked if any Planning Applications for Holiday Lets had been received for Billingsgate. There has been no correspondence received from ELDC.

Item 1122/146 Highway/Lighting/Footpath Matters

Cloddygate road is breaking up with large cracks due to subsidence and complaints had been received. It was thought that Highways were already aware of the issue but County Cllr Mr McNally would be contacted. The footpath on East Row connecting to no.7 & 8 has been repaired. The footpath on Town Street near to Gander Patch has still not been repaired.

County Cllr Mr McNally had visited the far end of East Row following the complaint that the after repair works had been carried out, there was a mess of debris. County Cllr Mr McNally could not find any fault. Cllr Mrs Poulter advised that a resident had swept up the debris soon after Highways had left.

Item 1122/147 Jubilee Field & St. Peters Church

The Clerk had contacted Tudor Ground Maintenance for a quote to cut the grass at St. Peters Church. They will be visiting to produce a quote.

The Vice-Chair, Cllr Mrs Day will contact Mr Chatterton for his invoice for the grass-cutting services to the Jubilee Field.

The Remembrance Wreath had been received and it was Resolved that Cllr Mrs Benton would lay the wreath on behalf of the Parish Council.

Sunday 11th December 2022 2-4pm Christmas Get-Together at St. Peters Church. 

Item 1122/148 Reports from Outside Bodies

An entry will be drafted for the double edition of the Communication to cover December 2022 & January 2023.

Item 1122/149 Next Meeting – Monday 5th December 2022

The Vice-Chair, Cllr Mrs Day asked if the Parish Council meetings could be held at an earlier start time of 6pm in the winter months. The Parish Council Resolved that the start time be at 6pm. 

The Parish Council Resolved the next monthly Parish Council Meeting will be held on Monday 5th   December 2022, commencing at an earlier time of 6pm with the Public Forum along with the following meeting to be held on Monday 9th January 2023, again commencing at 6pm.

With there being no further business, the Chairman closed the meeting at 7pm.
