Minutes of the Parish Council On-Line Meeting held on Tuesday 3rd November 2020.

Item 1120/92   Chairman’s Welcome 

The Chairman opened the meeting at 6.32pm and welcomed everyone to the fourth Parish Council on-line meeting. 

Item 1120/93 Public Forum

No members of the Public were at the start of the meeting. There were no members of the public that accessed the meeting on-line.

Item 1120/94 Apologies & Acceptance for Absence

District and County Cllr Mr Daniel McNally.

Item 1120/95 Police Matters   

No members of the Local Neighbourhood Policing Team were in attendance and no update or report has been received. No matters were raised.

Item 1120/96 District & County Councillor Updates

District Cllr Mr Rickett reported that it was a lengthy Council meeting lasting 4hrs although it was engaging even if it was quite a long meeting. It was a catch up, a first one for months, admin ratification. ELDC maintenance of own vehicles contract has ended, discussions to take in-house providing possible apprenticeships and additional big wagons. There has been publicity on social media to help people with Mental Health issues, help to get advice and support.

Cllr Mr Rickett and Cllr Mr McNally are happy to support by contributing through funding available. An application form will be forwarded, and funding is available for COVID cleaning supplies if needed.

Funding for a defibrillator was discussed, Cllr Mr Rickett and Cllr MrMcNally are happy to support but not fully cover the total costs involved. The prices for the defibrillator will be reviewed and monies already fund-raised will also help to cover costs.

With no further matters to report or questions raised, Cllr Mr Rickett gave his apologies to leave the meeting and disconnected at 6.49pm.

Item 1020/81 Declarations of Pecuniary Interest in accordance with LGA 2011

None.

Item 1020/82 To Resolve as Minutes the record of the meeting held on 6th October 2020.

It was proposed by Cllr Mrs Poulter, seconded by Cllr Mrs Benton, and resolved that the Minutes of the meeting held on the 6th October 2020 were a true record. The Chairman will sign the Minutes as a true record when appropriate to do so.

Item 1020/83 Chairman’s Report

The Chairman gave thanks to both Cllrs Mr & Mrs Duma for all their hard work, time and effort given to the Parish which has been greatly appreciated. The Chairman wished the Councillors the best for the move and the future. 

Item 1020/84 Clerks Report

No specific matters to report.

Item 1020/85 Parish Councillor Reports

It was agreed and resolved that Cllr Mrs Benton will lay the Poppy Wreath on Remembrance Day at 

The Memorial located at St. Peter’s Church.

Item 1020/86 Financial Matters

November 2020 Expenditure: Royal British Legion, Poppy Appeal – Poppy Wreath £12.00

Cllr Mrs Day had passed on the collection from the Book Stall which amounted to £12.65 with another £1.02 to be added to the collection amount.

It was proposed by Cllr Mrs Poulter, seconded by Cllr Mrs Benton and resolved to pay the listed expenditure.

Item 1020/87 Planning Matters

None.

Item 1020/88 Highway/Lighting/Footpath Matters

No matters raised.

Item 1020/89 Jubilee Field & St. Peters Churchyard

The Christmas Tree will be erected outside of the Church and Parishioners encouraged to place a Christmas Tree or display at the front of their properties in order to bring some cheer to current times. Christmas Lights for the tree was agreed and resolved to be purchased.

Item 1020/90 Reports From Outside Bodies

An entry for the November issue of the Communication magazine will be drafted to include thanks to Cllrs Mr & Mrs Duma along with the Christmas Tree/Display idea for parishioners. A note of the current vacancies on the Parish Council will also be high-lighted. Interest from a parishioner had been received and was welcomed.

Item 1020/91 Next Meeting – Tuesday 7th December 2020

The next monthly Parish Council Meeting will be held on-line on Tuesday 7th December 2020, commencing at 6:30pm.  

With there being no further business, the Chairman closed the meeting at 7.09pm.
