Minutes of the Parish Council Meeting held on Tuesday 2nd November 2021 at St. Peter’s Church, Louth Road, South Somercotes

Item 1121/84   Chairman’s Welcome 

The Chairman opened the meeting at 6.30pm and welcomed everyone to the monthly meeting. 

Item 1121/85 Public Forum

No Member of the Public in Attendance and no Matters Raised under this Item.

Item 1121/86 Apologies & Acceptance for Absence

Apologies were received & accepted from District & County Cllr Mr Daniel McNally and District Cllr Mr Paul Rickett.

Item 1121/87 Police Matters   

No members of the Local Neighbourhood Policing Team were in attendance. No matters were raised. 

Item 1121/88 District & County Councillor Updates

In the absence of District & County Councillors no updates were made. Apologies had been received.

District Cllr Mr Paul Rickett would try to make the meeting and did turn up after the meeting had ended.

Item 1121/89 Declarations of Pecuniary Interest in accordance with LGA 2011

None.

Item 1121/90 To Resolve as Minutes the record of the meeting held on 5th October 2021

It was proposed by the Vic-Chair, Cllr Mrs Day, seconded by Cllr Mrs Jackson and resolved that the Minutes of the meeting held on the 5th October 2021 were a true record. The Chairman duly signed & dated the Minutes.

Item 1121/91 Chairman’s Report

The Chairman had no specific matters to report under this Item. 

Item 1121/92 Clerks Report

BT Kiosk – The Clerk gave an update, awaiting date from Northern PowerGrid for connection.

Item 1121/93 Parish Councillor Reports

A reminder was given on the Remembrance Day Service, Sunday 14th November 2021, 11am. Refreshments kindly organised and provided by Cllr Mrs Jackson with great thanks and appreciation.

The Vice-Chair, Cllr Mrs Day reported that following a local craft fair event, an invitation to local craft makes were made to attend the Christmas Event with their crafts to sell.

Item 1121/94 Financial Matters

November 2021 Expenditure: £17.00 Poppy Wreath – Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal. It was proposed by Cllr Mrs Poulter, seconded by Cllr Mrs Benton and Resolved to pay the invoice details.

A statement showing the history of the Jubilee Field Account was provided to Councillors.

Item 1121/95 Planning Matters

No Planning Matters.

Item 1121/96 Highway/Lighting/Footpath Matters

Cllr Mrs Day reported that the Footpath on East Row have yet to be repaired. This has been reported and chased by District/County Cllr Mr McNally. The dip on South Road near to the junction of Billingsgate is also still awaiting repair but becoming more and more noticeable. Cllr Mr McNally was chasing up the repairs.

Item 1121/97 Jubilee Field & St. Peters Churchyard

It was agreed that the grass-cutting would continue for the next month as normal to be the last curt with an additional cut at St. Peters Church for Remembrance Sunday.
There are now four lights out in St.Peters Church which will be reported to the CCT.

Item 1121/98 Reports From Outside Bodies

A double entry to the Communication for December 2021 & January 2022 will be made to confirm the dates, times and location of the next two Parish Council meetings along with notification of the Christmas Festive Lights and the Christmas Get-Together Event with a request for donations.

Item 1121/99 Next Meeting – Tuesday 7th December 2021

The next monthly Parish Council Meeting will be held on Tuesday 7th December 2021, commencing at 6:30pm.

The meetings will be held on a Face-to-Face basis at St. Peters Church, Louth Rd. Face Coverings are advisable to still be worn but can be removed once seated and Social Distancing adhered too.

With there being no further business, the Chairman closed the meeting at 6.55pm.
