NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN and Members are summoned to attend a meeting of South Somercotes Parish Council to be held at St Peter’s Church, Louth Road, South Somercotes on Thursday 27 June 2024 at 2.00 p.m.

The meeting will be set aside for the signing of the Annual Governance and Accountability Return a full council meeting will be 9 July 2024.

AGENDA

1. Chairmans welcome to council

2. Signing of Acceptance of Office: To receive declarations of interest under the Localism Act 2011 – being any pecuniary or non-pecuniary interest in agenda items not previously recorded on Members’ Register of Interests.

3. Apologies for Absence: To receive and accept apologies where valid reasons for absence have been given to the Parish Clerk prior to the meeting.

4. AGAR Annual Governance and Accountability Return (AGAR) 2023/24
   1. To receive the report of the internal auditor and note the parish Clerk & Responsible Finance Officer (RFO’s) responses (where applicable).
   2. To receive the Balance Sheet for the year ended 31 March 2024, to be signed by the Chairman and the Responsible Finance Officer (RFO).
   3. To approve the Annual Governance Statement (Section 1 of the Annual Governance and Accountability Return (AGAR)) for financial year 2023/24 and authorise signing by the Chairman and Parish Clerk.
   4. To approve the Accounting Statements (Section 2 of the AGAR) for financial year 2023/24 and authorise signing by the Chairman and Responsible Finance Officer.
