South Somercotes Parish Council
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN and Members are summoned to attend a meeting of South Somercotes Parish Council to be held at St Peter’s Church, Louth Road, South Somercotes on Tuesday 2 September 2025 at 6.00 p.m.
Prior to the commencement of the meeting there will be a public forum for a maximum of 15 minutes when members of the public may ask questions or make short statements to the Council (maximum 3 minutes per person/subject) in respect of any item listed on the agenda.
A maximum further 15 minutes will be set aside for the meeting to receive reports of the elected member of Lincolnshire County Council and East Lindsey District Council (oral, tabled and as attached).

AGENDA
- Welcome to council and appointed councillor roles: Chair, Vice-chair.
- Signing of Acceptance of Office: To receive declarations of interest under the Localism Act 2011 – being any pecuniary or non-pecuniary interest in agenda items not previously recorded on Members’ Register of Interests.
- Apologies for Absence
To receive and accept apologies where valid reasons for absence have been given to the Parish Clerk prior to the meeting.
- To approve as correct records the notes of the meeting of the Council held on 13 May and 26 June 2025 and to authorise the Chairman to sign the official minutes.
- Training – Staff and elected Members: To receive the latest training availability via the Lincolnshire Association of Local Councils (LALC) and consider and book relevant places for staff and elected Members.
- Parish Matters: To receive updates from in respect of:
- Grass cutting Jubilee Field
- Graveyard
- Bank account authorisation
- Container in church
- Correspondence: To receive and dispose of correspondence received since the last meeting.
- Date of next meeting: 4 November 2025, January
- Financial matters:
- To note bank balances on bank statements as on August 2025
- To note income
- To authorise the signing of orders for payment for previous months
- To resolve to move into closed session in accordance with the Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960 due to the confidential nature of the business to be discussed in relation to the following: -
