NOTICE OF MEETING

Dear Councillor

You are hereby summoned to attend the next meeting of South Somercotes Parish Council, which will be held on Monday 30th October 2023 commencing at 7.00 pm in St Peter’s Church, Louth Road, South Somercotes. The business to be dealt with at the meeting is listed in the agenda.

There will be a 15 minute public forum shortly after the start of the meeting when members of the public may ask questions or make short statements to the Council.

AGENDA

1.   Election of new Chair and signing the Declaration of Aceptance of Office.

2.   Chairman’s welcome and remarks

3.   Public forum when members of the public may raise items relevant to the meeting or the parish. 

4.   Apologies for absence received and to approve those with good reason for absence.

5.   To receive declarations of interest in accordance with the Localism Act 2011 and to consider any requests for dispensations.

6.   To adopt Standing Orders, Financial Regulations, Code of Conduct and Complaints Policy.

7.   To approve the draft notes as minutes of the last meeting of South Somercotes Parish Council

8.   To consider and approve candidates applying for co-option and their signing of Declaration of Acceptance of Office.  

9.    Financial matters:

a.   Bank balances and signing of statements

b.   Retrospective and current payments to be approved

c.   Bank account signatories 

d.   Current budget and spending to date.

10.   To consider and approve arrangements for the following items 

•   Website maintenance 
•   Email and records management
•   Insurance 
•   Grass-cutting
•   Training / induction 
•   Laptop and employee equipment.

11.   To receive and note correspondence.

12.   To note the date of the next meetings and suggest items for the agenda for the next meeting. 

13.   To exclude the press and public from the meeting pursuant to Section 1(2) of the Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960, as matters under discussion are confidential and relate to employees of the Council.

14.   To discuss and approve the employment arrangments for the retiring Clerk and employing a new Clerk.
